Why I built Creator Lighthouse

Creators get treated like second-class citizens. We are blocked from advertising the way any other business can, hounded by pirates who steal our work, and abused online for something that is not remotely shameful: people with an entrepreneurial streak using their own talent to earn a living. Nobody shames an athlete or an artist for that. Somehow we are fair game, and the constant fight is what burns so many creators out.

I still remember finding my first leak. The gut-punch of realising my content had been stolen, that criminals had taken a piece of my autonomy. Help did exist, but it was priced so high there was a wall between the protection I badly needed and what I could actually afford.

So I built the thing I wish I had had: affordable protection that finds your leaks and gets them taken down in our name, never yours, alongside marketing and strategy tools that take the stress out of growing. Frequently asked questions

Will my real name or address ever be exposed?+

For routine takedown correspondence we act as your authorised representative and use our company name, registered address and takedown email rather than your personal contact details. Your creator or stage name is normally needed, because the notice has to identify whose work it is. Some providers and some legal processes require more than that, and we cannot rule it out in every case. If it comes up, we will tell you what is being asked for before anything is shared.

How quickly will leaks come down?+

Your first scan runs once setup is finished and usually returns results within a few minutes. Removal takes longer and depends on the provider. Many act within one to three weeks, some take longer, and some do not respond at all. We chase after a week with no reply and can escalate to the domain registrar. Search delisting is separate and also not instant, because Google reviews requests individually.

Does Google delisting remove the page from the internet?+

No. Delisting asks Google or Bing to stop showing an eligible result in search. The file stays on the site hosting it. The takedown request to the host is what asks for the content itself to be removed, so we do both and track them separately.

Do I have to file anything myself?+

Not for the cases you approve. We prepare and send the takedown request to the provider and submit the Google delisting request. Bing only accepts these through its own web form, so we complete that one by hand, usually within a working day. If you would rather file something yourself, there is a guided route for that too.

Do I have to upload intimate images?+

No, and we do not store intimate images. Where intimate images are involved we point you to StopNCII, where the hashing happens in your own browser so the image itself does not reach StopNCII or us. Reference images you add for matching are ordinary photos and are used to help recognise your content.

What does it cost, and can I cancel?+

£19.99 a month, or £191.90 a year (about £15.99 a month, saving £47.98) There is no per-takedown charge. You can cancel anytime from your account and keep access until the end of the period you have paid for. The first scan is free and does not need a card.
