Privacy Policy
Last updated: 15 June 2026
This policy explains how Creator Lighthouse (“we”, “us”) collects, uses and protects your personal data when you use our website and app. We are the data controller for the personal data described here. You can contact us at hello@creatorlighthouse.co.uk.
Who can use Creator Lighthouse
Our service is for adults aged 18 or over who create content. It is not intended for, and may not be used by, anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
What we collect
- Account data: your email address and, optionally, your name.
- Protection data you provide: the stage names, aliases, official links and reference images you add so we can search for leaks on your behalf.
- Service data: the discoveries, cases, notices and settings generated as you use the app.
- Usage data: basic technical information such as scan history and activity, used to run and improve the service.
- Payment data: handled by our payment processor. We do not store your card details.
How and why we use it
We use your data to provide the service: to scan for possible leaks of your content, to prepare takedown notices and Google delisting requests as your authorised agent, to manage your account and subscription, to provide support, and to improve and secure the platform. Our legal bases are performance of our contract with you, your consent (where you provide it, for example by authorising us to act as your agent), and our legitimate interests in operating and improving the service.
Who we share it with (sub-processors)
We use the following trusted third-party providers to run the service. They process data only on our instructions and under data processing terms. Our hosting and database are located in the European Union.
- Railway: application hosting and PostgreSQL database (EU region). Stores your account and service data.
- Anthropic (USA): AI used to generate marketing and strategy content and to help assess discoveries.
- Google Cloud (Vision API) (USA/EU): reverse-image and watermark detection on the reference photos you upload.
- Tavily (USA): web search used to find possible leaks.
- Resend (USA/EU): delivery of emails, including takedown notices you authorise.
- Reddit (USA): only if you choose to connect your account for posting and subreddit suggestions.
- Paddle: our payment processor and merchant of record (when billing is enabled). We do not store your card details.
As part of the service, takedown notices you authorise are sent to the relevant website hosts and to Google. These are filed under an authorised agent (Creator Lighthouse Ltd) so that your real identity is not disclosed to the infringing site. Some of our providers are based outside the UK; where personal data is transferred internationally we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum / Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision (including the UK Extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework where applicable).
How long we keep it
We keep your account and protection data while your account is active. You can delete your reference images and identities at any time, and you can permanently delete your entire account and all associated data yourself from Account → Delete account, which removes it immediately. Records relating to takedown notices we have already sent may be retained for a longer period for legal, audit and dispute-resolution purposes, after which they are deleted or anonymised.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to our processing of your data, and the right to data portability. To exercise any of these, contact us at the address above. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
Security and cookies
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data. We use a single essential cookie to keep you signed in; we do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post any changes here and update the date above.
